MOSCOW (Interstat) — Dinamo Minsk (5-3-0) will face the Shanghai Dragons (7-5-0) in a Kontinental Hockey League matchup on Thursday at Municipal‘nyj Stadion Stroitel‘ in Mytishchi.

The visiting Dinamo Minsk squad is coming off a decisive 4-1 victory over Traktor Chelyabinsk on Monday. Forward Vitaly Pinchuk led the charge with two goals, while goaltender Zach Fucale turned aside 34 of 35 shots in the win. The team has shown resilience, splitting its last four contests.

Shanghai, which plays its home games under the Red Star Kunlun banner, last played on Oct. 1, securing a 3-2 overtime win against SKA Saint Petersburg. The Dragons have been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses over their past five games.

Thursday’s game represents a scheduling anomaly, as the teams are set to meet again in Minsk on Oct. 24. Dinamo Minsk will look to continue its strong start against a Shanghai team seeking consistency in its first game after an eight-day layoff.
