DAEGU (Interstat) — Jurado allowed two earned runs over 6 2/3 innings and the Samsung Lions beat the Kia Tigers 8-3 Tuesday evening in Game 2 of the playoff series at Daegu Samsung Lions Park. Samsung improved to 82-59-3; Kia fell to 82-64-2. Jurado earned the win to move to 8-1, and Kia’s Oller took the loss, falling to 10-11. Samsung scored four runs in the second, one in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the sixth. Kia scored once in the second, sixth and seventh. Samsung had nine hits; Kia had six. Won Tae-in struck out two in a scoreless inning. Choi Hyoung-woo went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs, Díaz went 1 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs, and Park Seung-kyu went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Lee Tae-yang struck out one in a scoreless inning, Lee Seung-min allowed one earned run over 1 1/3 innings, Jung Hai-young retired two in a scoreless outing, Oller allowed five earned runs in 4 2/3 innings, and Lee Eui-lee walked two without recording an out.
