KT improved to 74-46-5, while Shinsegae fell to 52-67-9. Bae allowed four hits, walked three and struck out six. Hilliard went 1 for 5 with a home run, sparking a late burst that broke open a tie game. Kim Sang-su scored twice, while Kim Min-hyuck, Choi Won-jun, An Chi-young and Ryu Jun-kyu also crossed the plate. Shinsegae starter Ávila worked 6 2/3 innings, yielding three earned runs on six hits with three walks and eight strikeouts. Guillermo Heredia and Hong Dae-in drove in Shinsegae’s runs. KT’s bullpen combined for scoreless relief, with Kim Jeong-woon, Son Dong-hyun, Sugimoto Koki and Jeon Yong-ju finishing the game. Takeda Shota, Han Doo-sol and Lee Geun-wook also pitched scoreless relief for Shinsegae. Attendance was 13,548.
