INCHEON (Interstat) — Pedro Ávila threw a nine-inning complete game, allowing three hits and no earned runs with five strikeouts, as Shinsegae Landers beat Doosan Bears 4-0 on Friday, Sept. 4, at Munhak Baseball Stadium.

Jeon Ui-san went 2 for 3 with two home runs and two RBIs, homering in the fourth and sixth. Park Shin-zi took the loss for Doosan, yielding two earned runs in four innings with four strikeouts. Seo Jun-o, Yun Tae-ho, Kim Young-hyun and Lee Yong-chan worked relief, with Lee allowing one earned run in an inning.

Doosan collected three hits. Shinsegae had five. Cho Hyeong-woo hit a solo home run in the fourth, and Guillermo Heredia had an RBI in the third. Kim Jeong-min was 0 for 1. Shinsegae scored one in the third, two in the fourth and one in the sixth.

Shinsegae improved to 51-66-6. Doosan fell to 61-56-4. Attendance was announced as 14,260.
