BUSAN, South Korea (Interstat) — The Kia Tigers defeated the Lotte Giants 5-2 on Thursday evening at Busan Sajik Baseball Stadium. Kia collected nine hits to Lotte’s eight, snapping a two-game losing streak.

Harold Castro opened the scoring with a solo home run in the second inning. Kim Do-yeong added a run-scoring single in the third and a solo homer in the sixth. Na Sung-bum’s two-run homer in the eighth extended the lead to 5-1. Lotte scored on Son Ho-young’s RBI double in the fourth and a run in the ninth.

Yang Hyeon-jong earned the win for Kia, improving to 45-39-2. Lotte dropped to 38-45. The Giants had won the previous two meetings, 11-3 and 10-2. Attendance was 23,200.
