SEOUL (Interstat) — The KT Wiz defeated the Doosan Bears 11-3 on Thursday evening at Jamsil Stadium. KT improved to 29-20-1 while Doosan fell to 23-27-1.

The Wiz collected 13 hits to the Bears’ 10, combining for 23 total. KT broke the game open with a six-run eighth inning. Sam Hilliard homered in the ninth and also had a run-scoring single in the eighth. Kim Hyun-soo and Choi Won-joon each scored multiple runs. For Doosan, Kim Min-seok homered in the eighth.

KT scored one run in the fourth, two in the seventh, six in the eighth and two in the ninth. Doosan scored single runs in the first, third and eighth.

Ko Young-pyo earned the win on the mound for KT, supported by relievers Kim Min-su, Son Dong-hyun and Woo Kyu-min. The loss went to Doosan starter Gwak Been. The Wiz won the series two games to one after dropping the opener 5-0 Wednesday but rebounding with a 6-0 win Tuesday.

KT travels to face the Kiwoom Heroes on Friday while Doosan visits the Samsung Lions.
