Shinsegae at KT

SUWON, South Korea (Interstat) — The KT Wiz host the Shinsegae Landers on Tuesday evening at Suwon Baseball Stadium, with first pitch scheduled under a forecast of 63 degrees and rain.

KT enters the game with a commanding 23-12 record, sitting atop the standings, while Shinsegae stands at 19-16-1. The Wiz have dominated the season series, outscoring the Landers 13-5 in a three-game sweep from Apr. 24-26, including a 12-2 blowout in the most recent meeting.

Shinsegae right-hander Moon Seung-won has been a reliable arm out of the bullpen. Over his last seven appearances dating to Apr. 21, he has allowed just one earned run across 10 1/3 innings, striking out eight while holding opponents to four hits. He worked two scoreless innings in the Landers’ 3-1 loss to Doosan on Sunday, but Shinsegae has dropped three of its last four overall.

KT counters with Bae Je-seong, who delivered 3 1/3 scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a 5-1 loss to Kiwoom on Sunday. The Wiz, however, have stumbled lately, losing two straight and three of their last four after a 6-0 mark in their previous six games.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 4-2 final in favor of KT, and the ELO system gives the Wiz a 56.7% win probability. The two teams meet again Wednesday and Thursday to conclude the three-game set.
