LG at Doosan

SEOUL (Interstat) — The first-place LG Twins will aim to rebound from a loss when they visit the Doosan Bears on Friday evening at Jamsil Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. under cloudy skies with a temperature of 68 degrees.

The Twins (14-7-1) enter the game with the best record in the KBO but are coming off a 8-4 loss to the Hanwha Eagles on Thursday. LG stranded seven runners and managed only four hits, though first baseman Austin Dean went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Dean has been productive in April, with 10 hits over his last eight games, including two homers.

The Bears (9-12) have lost two of their last three, falling 6-1 to the Lotte Giants on Thursday. Outfielder Daz Cameron continues to be Doosan’s most consistent hitter, going 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI in that contest. Cameron has nine hits in his last nine games with three home runs.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-4 victory for LG, and its ELO system gives the Twins a 63.9 percent probability to win.

These teams are scheduled to meet again Saturday and Sunday at Jamsil to complete the three-game series.
