SUWON-SI, South Korea (Interstat) — The KT Wiz defeated the Kiwoom Heroes 5-0 on Friday evening behind a dominant pitching performance and early run support at Suwon Baseball Stadium.

KT scored once in the first inning on an RBI single from Kim Sang-su and added a solo home run from Kim Hyun-soo. The Wiz extended their lead with single runs in the second and third innings, including a sacrifice fly from Oh Yoon-suk.

Five KT pitchers combined on the six-hit shutout, stifling the Kiwoom offense. The Heroes managed only six hits and have lost 13 of their first 17 games. The Wiz improved to a KBO-leading 12-5 with their third straight victory.
