Doosan Bears Rally Past Kiwoom Heroes, 7‑3, Behind Stellar Pitching From Choi Min-seok

SEOUL, South Korea (Interstat) — The Doosan Bears overcame an early three-run deficit to defeat the Kiwoom Heroes 7-3 on Wednesday evening at Jamsil Stadium.

Kiwoom scored all three runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-run homer from Lee Hyung-jong. Doosan answered with two runs in the bottom of the first and took the lead for good with two more in the fourth, aided by a Kiwoom error. Yang Eui-ji drove in two runs for the Bears.

Doosan starter Choi Min-seok earned the win, allowing three hits and no earned runs over 5 2/3 innings with six strikeouts. Four Kiwoom pitchers combined to allow just one run over the final five innings, but the early damage was too much to overcome.

Doosan improved to 3-6. Kiwoom fell to 3-7. The teams conclude their series Thursday.
