LG Twins Look to Ride Momentum Into Second Game at NC Dinos

CHANGWON-SI, South Korea (Interstat) — The LG Twins will aim for a second straight win over the NC Dinos when the teams meet again Wednesday evening at Masan Baseball Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. local time under clear skies with a game-time temperature of 52 degrees Fahrenheit (11 degrees Celsius).

The Twins (5-4) evened the series with a 2-0 shutout victory Tuesday, backed by strong pitching. A player to watch for LG is Song Seung-ki, who delivered five scoreless innings with four strikeouts in that win. Over his last two starts, including a victory over the Kia Tigers on April 1, Song has allowed just one earned run in 9 1/3 innings.

The Dinos (6-3), who lead the early-season standings, saw a three-game winning streak snapped in the series opener. Their offense, which averaged 6.4 runs during a 5-1 stretch from March 31 to April 4, was silenced by LG’s staff. NC will look to rebound at home, where they are 4-2 this season.

Despite NC holding the better record, statistical projections are split. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 7-5 victory for the Dinos. However, the same service’s ELO rating system gives the Twins a 57.3% probability to win.

Following Wednesday’s contest, the teams will conclude the three-game series Thursday in Changwon. The Twins then return to Seoul for a six-game homestand, while the Dinos embark on a road trip to Daegu.
