LG at Kiwoom
LG TWINS, KIWOOM HEROES SEEK TRACTION IN EARLY SEASON CLASH
SEOUL (Interstat) — Two teams looking to steady their starts to the 2026 Korea Baseball Organization season meet Friday evening when the LG Twins visit the Kiwoom Heroes at Gocheok Sky Dome.
The Twins (2-3) arrive after a 2-1 win over the Kia Tigers on Thursday, while the Heroes (1-4) are reeling from an 11-1 road loss to the Shinsegae Landers.
A key pitching matchup features LG’s Lachlan Wells against Kiwoom’s Jung Hyun-woo. Wells is coming off a strong performance, allowing one earned run over six innings in Thursday’s victory. Jung, however, seeks rebound after surrendering six earned runs in five innings in his last outing.
LG has shown recent offensive life, scoring seven runs in a win Wednesday before Thursday’s pitcher-dominated victory. Kiwoom’s season has been inconsistent, with an 11-2 win Wednesday bookended by blowout losses.
Despite Kiwoom’s struggles, sportsbooks list the Heroes as a slight pregame favorite with a spread of +1.5. The over/under for the game is set at 7.0 runs.
Statistical models project an LG advantage. Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 5-2 Twins victory, and its ELO rating system gives LG a 71.80% probability to win.
The game opens a three-game weekend series between the clubs. LG will then travel to face the NC Dinos, while Kiwoom hosts the Lotte Giants after a road trip to face the Doosan Bears.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. local time Friday at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
