Windy City Bulls Ride Hot Shooting to Road Win Over Maine Celtics

PORTLAND, Maine (Interstat) — The Windy City Bulls defeated the Maine Celtics 121-106 in an NBA G League contest Friday night at the Portland Exposition Building.

The Bulls used a 39-point second quarter to build a commanding lead and never looked back. Windy City shot 50% from the floor and 41.7% from three-point range, outpacing a Maine squad that managed just 46.8% shooting. The Bulls’ offense was efficient, posting an offensive rating of 126.4 points per 100 possessions.

Kevin Knox led a balanced Windy City attack. The Bulls also forced 18 Celtics turnovers, converting them into transition opportunities. Maine center Amari Williams provided interior offense for the home team, but the Celtics could not overcome the early deficit.

With the win, Windy City improved to 19-18. Maine fell to 21-20. The teams will meet again at the same venue on Sunday.
