Cleveland vs. Osceola

ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) — In a high-octane NBA G League showdown Friday night, the Osceola Magic used a dominant second-quarter surge to overpower the Cleveland Charge 128-111 at Kia Center, avenging a loss from the previous night.

The game turned decisively in the second period. After a competitive first quarter that ended with Osceola leading 31-27, the Magic erupted for 42 points while holding Cleveland to just 17. This 25-point swing established a commanding 73-44 halftime lead for the home team, a deficit the Charge could not overcome despite scoring 67 points in the second half.

Osceola’s offensive efficiency was the story, as they scored 128 points on 102 possessions for an offensive rating of 125.5. They shot 52.3% from the field, assisted on 17 of their 46 made baskets and converted 16 of 21 free throws. The Magic also forced 23 Cleveland turnovers, translating them into 17 steals and numerous transition opportunities.

Cleveland, which fell to 24-14, was led by the backcourt duo of Jaxson Robinson and Zeke Mayo, who were listed among the game’s key performers. The Charge shot just 40 of 82 from the floor and a frigid 15 of 43 from three-point range. Their nine total assists, matched by their turnovers and steals, underscored a disjointed offensive night against a relentless Osceola defense.

For Osceola, center Colin Castleton was a focal point, leveraging his size inside. Point guard Jase Richardson orchestrated the offense effectively, finding teammates for easy scores, while the play of Lester Quinones, Phillip Wheeler and Alex Morales provided consistent secondary scoring and defensive activity. The Magic improved their record to 25-12 with the victory.

The Charge mounted several pushes after halftime, including a 36-point fourth quarter, but each time Osceola had an answer, maintaining a double-digit cushion throughout the final period. The Magic’s balanced attack and ability to control the tempo after the first quarter proved insurmountable.

The two teams split the back-to-back set, with Cleveland having won 129-107 on Thursday. Osceola next hosts Sioux Falls on Sunday. Cleveland returns home to face Windy City on Tuesday.
