Cleveland vs. Noblesville

Preview: Cleveland Charge at Noblesville Boom

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — The Cleveland Charge, holding one of the G League’s top records, visit the struggling Noblesville Boom on Thursday night at the Arena at Innovation Mile.

Cleveland (29-17) enters on a two-game skid but remains well above .500. Noblesville (20-29) looks to snap a four-game losing streak in the teams’ final regular-season matchup.

The Charge have dominated the season series, winning two of three meetings. Most recently, Cleveland edged Noblesville 124-120 on the road on Feb. 19.

A key matchup will feature Cleveland forward Warith Alatishe against Noblesville guard DaJuan Gordon. Alatishe is coming off a dominant 15-rebound, 5-assist, 3-block performance in a loss to Maine on March 22, showcasing his all-around defensive impact. Over his last eight games, he has averaged 7.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in just 17.6 minutes per contest.

Gordon has been a bright spot for the Boom amid their slump, scoring 23 points with six rebounds in Sunday’s loss to Austin. He has averaged 16.2 points over his last 10 games, though Noblesville has gone 2-8 in that stretch.

The Boom’s defense will be tested by a Cleveland offense that has scored 124 points or more in four of its last five wins. Noblesville has allowed an average of 122.3 points during its current four-game losing streak.

Cleveland’s recent results have been volatile, mixing high-scoring wins with decisive losses. After the Charge, Noblesville continues a homestand seeking to improve its playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET tipoff Thursday.
