Iowa vs. Texas
FRISCO, Texas (Interstat) — A surging Iowa Wolves squad will look to continue its push up the standings when it visits the struggling Texas Legends in a G League matchup Sunday at Dr Pepper Arena.
The Wolves (26-20) enter on a two-game win streak after sweeping a series against Salt Lake City, including a 132-110 victory on Wednesday. Iowa has won four of its last six.
The Legends (18-28) have shown recent life, winning three of their last four, but remain near the bottom of the league. They are coming off a 108-104 home win over Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday.
Iowa will lean on forward Julian Phillips, who is coming off a dominant 39-point, 11-rebound performance in Wednesday’s win. Over his last two games, he has averaged 29 points and 8.5 rebounds.
Texas will counter with guard Dalano Banton, who has been on a remarkable scoring tear. He is averaging 28.2 points and 7.4 assists over his last nine contests, including a 36-point, 7-assist effort in Tuesday’s victory.
The teams just met on Friday, March 20, in Frisco, but no result from that contest was provided. Sunday’s game will serve as the back end of a two-game set.
Iowa’s recent success has been fueled by high-powered offense, scoring 132 points in each of its last two wins. Guard Jalen Crutcher dished out 17 assists in Wednesday’s game.
Texas has relied heavily on Banton’s all-around play and the interior presence of center Moussa Cisse, who grabbed 16 rebounds in the last outing.
Following this game, Iowa returns home to face Oklahoma City twice next week. Texas hits the road for a two-game series at Santa Cruz next weekend.
Tipoff is scheduled for Sunday, March 22, 2026.
