BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Interstat) — The Birmingham Squadron edged the Maine Celtics 144-143 in a G League shootout Monday night at Legacy Arena. The Celtics, who trailed by eight after the first quarter, mounted a fierce comeback and took a late lead before Birmingham secured the one-point victory on a final basket. The win improved the Squadron to 18-28 this season, while Maine fell to 24-22. Both teams combined for an offensive showcase, with Maine scoring 45 points in the fourth quarter alone. The two teams are scheduled for a rematch here Tuesday.
