Oklahoma City vs. Delaware
WILMINGTON, Del. (Interstat) — The Oklahoma City Blue and the Delaware Blue Coats will meet Friday night in a G League matchup at 76ers Fieldhouse, with both teams looking to halt recent slides.
The Blue (13-28) enter on a three-game losing streak, most recently falling 123-117 to the Texas Legends on March 7. Delaware (18-23) has lost three straight, including a 140-98 road loss to the Greensboro Swarm on Tuesday.
A key matchup will feature two high-scoring wings. Oklahoma City will rely on guard Nikola Topic, who has been a bright spot during the skid. Topic is averaging 25.0 points and 7.7 assists over his last three games, including a 28-point, 6-rebound, 6-assist performance against Texas.
Delaware counters with forward Teddy Allen, the team’s leading scorer. Allen is coming off a 24-point, 6-rebound game against Greensboro and has averaged 23.3 points over his last three contests. His production will be vital for a Blue Coats offense that was held under 100 points in its last outing.
Oklahoma City’s Anthony Pritchard (20 points, 8 rebounds vs. Texas) and Buddy Boeheim (26 points) provide supplemental scoring. For Delaware, recent contributions have come from Igor Milicic and rebounder Ibrahim Cisse, who grabbed 10 boards against Greensboro.
The game is the only scheduled meeting between the teams this season. Following Friday’s contest, Oklahoma City begins a two-game road set at Grand Rapids on Sunday. Delaware next plays at the Cleveland Charge on March 18.
