EDINBURG, Texas (Interstat) — The Austin Spurs built an early lead and withstood multiple rallies to defeat the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 94-86 in a G League game Tuesday night at Bert Ogden Arena.

Austin established control with a 22-point first quarter and led 49-42 at halftime. The Spurs maintained their advantage through a high-scoring third quarter and sealed the victory in the final period. The win improved Austin’s record to 30-12, while Rio Grande Valley fell to 25-17. The Vipers had been favored to win at home according to statistical projections. The teams split their two previous meetings this season.
