Maine vs. Osceola
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Osceola Magic delivered an offensive masterclass, overwhelming the Maine Celtics 134-103 in a G League matchup Sunday at Silver Spurs Arena.
From the opening tip, the Magic established a dominant tempo that the Celtics could never disrupt. Osceola erupted for 35 points in the first quarter, building a 16-point lead by the end of the period. The home team’s offensive execution never relented, scoring at least 28 points in each subsequent quarter to steadily pull away.
The most important part of the game was Osceola’s immediate and sustained command, which negated any chance for a Maine rally. The Magic’s high-octane attack, which saw them shoot efficiently from the floor, created a double-digit deficit for the Celtics within minutes. Maine’s attempts to respond, including a 33-point third quarter, were consistently met with an equal or greater burst from Osceola. Each time the Celtics showed a flicker of momentum, the Magic answered with a run of their own, maintaining a cushion that never dipped below the initial first-quarter margin and only expanded as the game progressed.
Osceola’s balanced and relentless offense was the story. The Magic’s ball movement and interior presence were overwhelming, leading to high-percentage shots and a significant rebounding advantage. Maine, despite a valiant effort that saw them surpass 100 points, was simply outgunned by a team operating at peak efficiency on its home floor.
The victory improved Osceola’s season record to 27 wins and 13 losses, solidifying their position as one of the league’s top teams. The loss dropped Maine to 22-21 on the campaign.
The two teams are scheduled for a quick rematch at the same venue on Tuesday.
