South Bay vs. Oklahoma City

SOUTH BAY SEEKS TO EXTEND WIN STREAK AGAINST STRUGGLING OKLAHOMA CITY

OKLAHOMA CITY (Interstat) — The surging South Bay Lakers visit the Oklahoma City Blue on Wednesday afternoon in a G League matchup featuring teams at opposite ends of the standings.

The Lakers (23-15) enter on a five-game winning streak, most recently a 115-100 victory over Stockton on Saturday. Forward Drew Timme has been instrumental, averaging 23.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists over his last five contests. In the win over Stockton, he posted 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Oklahoma City (13-26) looks to halt a skid after a 129-121 home loss to Motor City on Sunday. Forward Brooks Barnhizer leads the Blue, coming off a 22-point, seven-rebound, five-assist performance in that defeat. He averaged 19.7 points and 9.3 rebounds in three February games.

The teams’ only previous meeting this season was a narrow 124-123 overtime victory for the Blue at Cox Convention Center on Dec. 27, 2025.

South Bay’s offense has been potent during its streak, scoring at least 127 points in three of the five wins. Oklahoma City’s defense, allowing an average of 120.3 points in its last three games, will be tested.

The Lakers continue a road trip with back-to-back games at Santa Cruz this weekend. The Blue host Texas on Saturday before embarking on a four-game road swing.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST at Cox Convention Center.
