Noblesville vs. Wisconsin

Preview: Noblesville Boom at Wisconsin Herd

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Interstat) — The Noblesville Boom and Wisconsin Herd will complete a rare G League home-and-home set Saturday at Oshkosh Arena, just three days after their last meeting.

The Boom (12-15) edged the Herd (10-18) 95-90 on the same floor Thursday night. Saturday’s contest offers Wisconsin a chance for immediate redemption and Noblesville an opportunity to secure a two-game road sweep.

Noblesville has won two straight and three of its last four, including a 127-112 victory over Delaware on Monday. The Boom have taken all three meetings against Wisconsin this season, winning 118-98 on Dec. 11 and 111-109 on Nov. 30.

Guard Kam Jones leads Noblesville’s recent surge. Over his last three games, he is averaging 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists, including a 23-point, 8-assist performance in Monday’s win.

Wisconsin, which had won three of four prior to Thursday’s loss, will look to leading scorer Cormac Ryan to ignite its offense. Ryan has been a consistent force, scoring 20 or more points in six of his last ten outings. He poured in 25 points in a win over Westchester on Jan. 19 and is averaging 21.4 points over that ten-game stretch.

Despite their sub-.500 records, both teams feature high-octane offenses capable of explosive nights. Noblesville has scored 126 points or more in three of its last five games. Wisconsin has topped 108 points in five of its last ten.

The Herd will aim to leverage home-court advantage to snap their season-long skid against the Boom and gain momentum before a four-game road trip that starts next week. Noblesville seeks to solidify its position above .500 at home in the series and build winning momentum ahead of a lengthy homestand beginning Jan. 30.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CST at Oshkosh Arena.
