Kings Outlast Stars in Overtime Thriller Behind Plowden, Jeffries
STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — The Stockton Kings edged the Salt Lake City Stars 138-134 in overtime in a G League game Saturday at Stockton Arena.
Stockton’s Daeqwon Plowden and DaQuan Jeffries led a balanced attack as the Kings overcame a 41-point first quarter from the Stars. Salt Lake City’s Matthew Cleveland scored early and often, but Stockton used a 37-point second period to build a lead it never fully relinquished.
The Stars forced overtime with a late push, but the Kings secured the win by holding Salt Lake City to just three points in the extra period. With the win, Stockton improved to 18-9, while Salt Lake City fell to 18-11.
