Cruise Outlast Gold in High-Scoring G League Showdown
WALKER, Mich. (Interstat) — The Motor City Cruise defeated the Grand Rapids Gold 125-114 in a G League contest Thursday night at DeltaPlex Arena.
The Cruise built a commanding early lead with 39 first-quarter points and maintained control throughout, fending off several Gold rallies. Motor City’s balanced attack proved decisive as they improved to 12-15. Grand Rapids, led by Dane Goodwin’s scoring, fell to 15-13 despite a 34-point third quarter.
Chaz Lanier’s hot shooting sparked the Cruise early, while Drew Peterson and Bobi Klintman provided consistent offense. Goodwin keyed the Gold’s backcourt effort, and Moses Brown anchored the interior. The Cruise have now won two of the last three meetings between the teams this season.
