Sioux Falls vs. Memphis
SOUTHHAVEN, Miss. (Interstat) — Josh Christopher scored 25 points and Trevor Keels added 29 as the Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Memphis Hustle 119-107 in a G League game Tuesday night at DeSoto Civic Center.
The Skyforce, who led for the game’s entirety, improved to 14-10. The Hustle fell to 8-14.
Sioux Falls established control early with a potent offensive first half, shooting 54.5% from the field and building a 64-55 halftime lead. The Skyforce scored 33 points in the opening quarter and 31 in the second, consistently answering Memphis’s attempts to close the gap.
The most critical stretch came late in the third quarter when Memphis mounted its strongest challenge. After a Lucas Williamson 3-pointer capped a 15-2 Hustle run, the Skyforce lead was trimmed to 82-75. Sioux Falls called a timeout to halt the momentum and responded with a decisive 12-0 run bridging the third and fourth quarters. Christopher keyed the surge with a 3-pointer, a steal and a driving dunk, helping push the lead back to 19 points and effectively sealing the outcome.
Christopher, the Skyforce’s top star, filled the stat sheet with 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists in 39 minutes. Keels was efficient with his 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting. Jahmir Young orchestrated the offense with 23 points, eight assists and six rebounds.
For Memphis, Nate Hinton led all scorers with 25 points and added seven rebounds. Charlie Brown recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists, while Lawson Lovering posted 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite committing 20 turnovers, Sioux Falls offset that with superior shooting, making 54.4% of its field goals compared to Memphis’s 39.4%. The Skyforce also dominated inside, outscoring the Hustle 62-44 in the paint and blocking eight shots.
The game’s result ran counter to pregame projections from Interstat’s ELO system, which gave Memphis a 53.3% probability to win. The Skyforce’s simulator had predicted a 120-100 Sioux Falls victory.
Sioux Falls next hosts Salt Lake City on Saturday. Memphis returns to action Wednesday at home against Texas.
