Osceola vs. Santa Cruz
Preview: Osceola Magic at Santa Cruz Warriors
BONNY DOON, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Osceola Magic squad will look to continue its climb up the G League standings when it visits the struggling Santa Cruz Warriors on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
The Magic (9-7) enter on a positive note, having snapped a four-game skid with a 119-112 home victory over the Mexico City Capitanes on Monday. In that win, forward Alex Morales posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Lester Quinones and Phillip Wheeler each added 27 points.
Morales has been a consistent force for Osceola, averaging 13.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists over his last seven contests. His versatility will be key against a Santa Cruz team seeking consistency.
The Warriors (3-13) have shown fleeting signs of life, winning two of their last three games, including a 108-100 victory over the Noblesville Boom on Dec. 21. Forward Malevy Leons led the way in that contest with 20 points and six rebounds, part of a recent stretch where he has averaged 17.3 points over his last four appearances.
Despite the recent uptick, Santa Cruz’s season has been defined by defensive struggles, having allowed 112 or more points in 12 of their 16 games. Containing an Osceola offense that has scored 119 points or more in five of its last seven outings will be a primary challenge.
This marks the second leg of a back-to-back set between the teams at Kaiser Permanente Arena, following a scheduled matchup on Saturday, Dec. 27. The result of that prior contest will set the immediate tone for Sunday’s finale.
For Osceola, the game represents an opportunity to solidify a winning record before a New Year’s Eve road test at Rip City. For Santa Cruz, it is a chance to build momentum before embarking on a four-game road trip to begin January.
Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. PST.
