Texas vs. Noblesville

BOOM HOST LEGENDS IN HOLIDAY SHOWDOWN

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to halt late-December slides will meet Saturday when the Texas Legends visit the Noblesville Boom at the Arena at Innovation Mile.

The Legends (7-9) have dropped two straight, including a 120-112 home loss to Delaware on Dec. 21. The Boom (6-10) have lost three of their last four, most recently falling 108-100 at Santa Cruz on Dec. 21.

The matchup features a compelling battle in the frontcourt between two of the G League’s most productive forwards. Texas’ Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is coming off a dominant 19-point, 21-rebound performance against Delaware, his second double-double in three games. For Noblesville, Gabe McGlothan has been a consistent force, averaging 22.3 points and 8.3 rebounds over his last six contests. He scored 25 points with 9 rebounds in the loss to Santa Cruz.

Texas’ recent struggles have been tied to defense, allowing an average of 124.5 points in its two-game skid. Guard Miles Kelly, who scored 25 against Delaware, provides a perimeter scoring punch alongside veteran Zhaire Smith (20 points vs. Delaware).

Noblesville has shown offensive firepower at home, scoring 130 or more points in two of its last three home games, both wins. Point guard Steven Ashworth, who had 11 points and 6 assists against Santa Cruz, facilitates an attack that averages 116.1 points per game.

Both clubs are navigating crowded holiday schedules. This game is the first of a back-to-back for the Boom, who host Grand Rapids on Sunday. The Legends continue a road trip at Greensboro on Monday.

Saturday’s contest tips off at 7 p.m. EST.
