Cleveland vs. Motor City
Preview: Cleveland Charge at Motor City Cruise
WALKER, Mich. (Interstat) — The Cleveland Charge and Motor City Cruise, two Central Division rivals seeking momentum, will meet Wednesday night at DeltaPlex Arena in a G League contest.
The Charge (6-6) enter on a winning note after defeating the Noblesville Boom 114-102 on Dec. 5. Forward Tristan Enaruna led the way with 27 points and eight rebounds, continuing a stretch of strong play. In Cleveland’s 121-111 victory over Motor City on Nov. 12, Enaruna posted 22 points, six rebounds and three assists.
The Cruise (5-7) have won two straight, including a 128-126 overtime road win against Windy City on Dec. 6. Guard Wendell Moore Jr. scored a season-high 32 points in that victory. Over his last two games, Moore is averaging 26 points, 5.5 rebounds and six assists.
Cleveland’s offense has been potent, scoring at least 114 points in eight of its last nine games. However, its defense has allowed 126 or more points in six of those contests. Motor City has shown similar firepower but inconsistency, alternating wins and losses over its past seven games.
The matchup between Enaruna and Moore will be pivotal. Enaruna has scored 20 or more points in six of his last 10 outings. Moore, a two-way player for the Detroit Pistons, provides the Cruise with a dynamic perimeter threat and playmaker.
This is the second of several scheduled meetings between the affiliates of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons. A win would give the Charge a season sweep of the early series and push them above .500, while the Cruise aim to even the season series and climb closer to the division’s .500 mark.
Following this game, Cleveland hosts Sioux Falls on Dec. 13. Motor City travels to face the Iowa Wolves on Dec. 12.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
