Osceola vs. Rio Grande Valley
EDINBURG, Texas (Interstat) — The surging Osceola Magic look to continue their strong start to the season when they visit the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in a G League matchup Monday at Bert Ogden Arena.
The Magic (5-2) enter on a two-game winning streak, most recently earning a 110-102 road victory over Austin on Nov. 20. Lester Quinones led the way with 24 points, while Noah Penda posted a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Osceola’s offense has been potent, scoring 120 or more points in four of its seven games. The team is 3-1 on the road this season.
Rio Grande Valley (3-4) has dropped its last two contests, both on the road against Austin, including a 118-100 loss on Nov. 24. Despite the defeat, Daishen Nix put up 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists in that game. Efe Abogidi added 23 points and five rebounds.
The Vipers will look to defend their home court, where they are 1-1 this season. This is the second meeting between the teams in three days, following a neutral-site game on Saturday.
The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. CST tipoff.
