Raptors 905 vs. Long Island

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Interstat) — The undefeated Raptors 905 look to continue their dominant start to the G League season when they visit the Long Island Nets in a rematch Monday at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Raptors 905 (6-0) are the league’s last remaining unbeaten team and are coming off a 114-103 road win over Greensboro on Nov. 20. A.J. Lawson led the way with 23 points and seven rebounds, while Alijah Martin added 16 points and Julian Reese scored 14.

The Nets (3-4), however, handed the Raptors their most recent loss in a tightly contested 29-28 game just two days ago on Saturday. Long Island enters with momentum from a 125-101 victory over College Park last Wednesday, where Tre Scott posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Jeenathan Williams scored 21 and Malachi Smith added a game-high 24 points in the win.

The Raptors’ perfect record has been built on both ends of the court, with their six wins coming by an average margin of 22.8 points. Their closest contest was the two-point loss to these same Nets.

Monday’s game will be the third of a four-game road trip for Raptors 905. Long Island will look to even its season record and secure a second straight win over the league’s top team.
