Stockton vs. Valley

TEMPE, Ariz. (Interstat) — The surging Stockton Kings will look to continue their dominance over the winless Valley Suns when the G League teams meet Sunday at Mullett Arena.

Stockton (5-3) arrives having won both ends of a back-to-back against Valley just over a week ago, prevailing 125-117 on Nov. 19 and 131-112 on Nov. 20. The Kings, however, are looking to rebound from a 149-122 road loss to Salt Lake City on Monday. In that game, guard Jameer Nelson Jr. scored 30 points in 25 minutes, while center Dylan Cardwell posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Conversely, the Valley Suns (0-6) are still searching for their first victory of the season. They are coming off a 112-101 home loss to Rip City on Tuesday, where Damion Baugh led the team with 24 points and six assists. Jamaree Bouyea added 21 points.

The statistical service Interstat projects a lopsided affair, simulating a final score of Stockton 131, Valley 100. The Kings’ potent offense, which has averaged over 126 points in its five wins, will challenge a Valley defense that has allowed an average of nearly 119 points per game this season.

Following this contest, Valley will host Santa Cruz for a two-game set starting Tuesday. Stockton’s next game is at home against Salt Lake City on Dec. 4.
