(Interstat) — James Akinjo scored 31 points and dished 10 assists to lead the Grand Rapids Gold to a 126-115 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce in a G League game Sunday at the Sanford Pentagon. The Gold built a large early lead with a 46-point first quarter and never trailed, avenging a loss to the Skyforce from the previous night. DaRon Holmes added 17 points and 13 rebounds for Grand Rapids, while Moses Brown contributed 20 points. Jahmir Young led Sioux Falls with 20 points and seven assists. With the win, Grand Rapids improved to 7-3, while Sioux Falls fell to 7-4.
