Greensboro vs. Long Island
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Greensboro Swarm look to avenge a recent loss and continue their strong start to the season when they visit the struggling Long Island Nets in a G League matchup Monday at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Greensboro (4-2) enters the game with a winning record, while Long Island (1-3) seeks to find its footing. The teams just met on Saturday, with the Nets defeating the Swarm 58-49 in a defensively dominated contest.
The Swarm’s offense, which has shown high-scoring potential in wins over Delaware earlier this month, will look to rebound from a 103-point outing in a loss to Raptors 905 on Thursday. Greensboro was led in that game by K.J. Simpson (19 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists), Antonio Reeves (22 points, 6 rebounds) and Drew Peterson (18 points, 4 rebounds).
Long Island is coming off a 127-116 road loss to Maine on Nov. 15. In that game, Danny Wolf scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, Jeenathan Williams added 24 points and 8 rebounds, and Tre Scott recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Greensboro is projected to win decisively, 124-100.
Following this game, the Nets travel to face College Park on Wednesday. The Swarm’s next contest is at home against Capital City on Friday.
