Grand Rapids vs. Cleveland
CLEVELAND (Interstat) — The Grand Rapids Gold, off to a strong 4-1 start, will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they visit the Cleveland Charge on Friday at Wolstein Center.
The game is the first of a two-night set between the G League teams, with a rematch scheduled for Saturday in Cleveland.
Grand Rapids enters the contest following a 122-117 home loss to Motor City on Sunday, which snapped a four-game winning streak to open the season. Kessler Edwards led the Gold in that game with 25 points and eight rebounds, while Moses Brown added a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards.
Cleveland (3-3) is coming off a high-scoring 139-137 road victory over Sioux Falls on Tuesday. Forward Tristan Enaruna posted 29 points and 11 rebounds in the win, and Luke Travers added 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
The Charge have been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses over their last four games. They will look to build momentum and even their record against a Gold team that has proven potent offensively, averaging over 120 points per game in its victories.
