Raptors 905 vs. Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Interstat) — The Raptors 905 remained undefeated, edging the Greensboro Swarm 124-119 in a high-octane G League showdown Wednesday afternoon at Greensboro Coliseum Fieldhouse.

In a game that featured 18 lead changes and 10 ties, neither team led by more than eight points, with the outcome uncertain until the final buzzer. The Raptors 905 improved to 5-0, while the Swarm suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 4-1.

The contest was a back-and-forth affair from the opening tip. Greensboro established an early lead, closing the first quarter with a 35-25 advantage behind a potent offensive start. The Raptors 905 responded in the second period, outscoring the Swarm 31-31 to narrow the gap, but still trailed 66-56 at halftime.

The third quarter saw Raptors 905 mount their comeback, chipping away at the deficit before finally seizing control with a dominant 37-point fourth quarter. Greensboro, which had not scored fewer than 119 points in any game this season, kept pace for much of the final frame but could not counter the visitors’ closing surge.

The game was ultimately decided in the final seconds. With the score tied at 119 and 12 seconds remaining, Chucky Hepburn sank a clutch 25-foot 3-pointer to put Raptors 905 ahead for good. Following a Greensboro timeout, the Swarm’s ensuing 3-point attempt missed, and Jonathan Mogbo sealed the victory with two free throws with two seconds left.

The Raptors 905’s balanced attack and resilience in a tough road environment proved decisive as they handed a previously unbeaten Greensboro squad its first blemish. The two teams are scheduled for a quick rematch in Greensboro on Thursday night.

According to Interstat’s ELO system, Greensboro had been projected with an 82 percent probability to win the game.
