UDINE, Italy (Interstat) — Udinese and Sampdoria played to a scoreless draw in a Serie A match Saturday at Dacia Arena.

The result in the league’s Week 34 fixture saw few clear chances. Udinese’s Roberto Pereyra had an early goal disallowed for offside, and a second-half Adam Masina header was ruled out after a video review. Sampdoria managed only two shots on target.

Udinese, which entered with 11 league wins this season, controlled possession but could not break through. Sampdoria, with just one league victory, earned a road point. The draw leaves Udinese with a 11-15-5 Serie A record, while Sampdoria moves to 1-1-1.

The match featured four yellow cards, two for each side. The outcome defied a statistical projection that heavily favored a Udinese victory.
