MILAN (Interstat) — AC Milan defeated Lazio 2-0 on Sunday in a Serie A match at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Ismaël Bennacer opened the scoring in the 17th minute, assisted by Olivier Giroud. Theo Hernández doubled the host’s lead just 12 minutes later with a goal in the 29th minute.

The victory in the Week 34 fixture improved AC Milan’s Serie A record. Lazio’s league form continued to struggle with the road loss. The match featured four yellow cards, with Lazio receiving three.

The result diverged from a pregame projection that had favored AC Milan but anticipated a draw.
