KUALA TERENGGANU, Malaysia (Interstat) — Terengganu and Pahang played to a 1-1 draw in a Malaysia Super League match Tuesday at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.

Pahang’s Kpah Sherman opened the scoring in the 31st minute, but Terengganu’s Ivan Mamut equalized just eight minutes later. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. Mamut also received a yellow card in the 72nd minute in a match that featured four total cautions.

The draw leaves Pahang with a 3-3-2 record in Super League play, while Terengganu moves to 11-8-4. Both teams resume league action Friday.
