GAZIPUR, Bangladesh (Interstat) — Real Espana and Vida played to a 3-3 draw Saturday in a Week 17 Liga Nacional match unexpectedly staged at Shahid Barkat Stadium.

The result defied a pregame projection favoring Real Espana. Vida defender Elison David Rivas Mejía scored twice, including an 11th-minute opener and a 59th-minute equalizer. Real Espana’s Ramiro Iván Rocca also scored twice, netting in the 30th and 54th minutes. Teammate Pedro Federico Báez Benítez added a 15th-minute goal.

Rocca received a yellow card in stoppage time, one of five issued in the match. Real Espana remains unbeaten in league play, while Vida is still seeking its first win.
