BARANQUILLA, Colombia (Interstat) — Junior W earned its first victory of the domestic season Sunday with a commanding 5-1 win over Cortulua in Liga Femenina play at Estadio Romelio Martínez.

The home side’s attack erupted after halftime in the Week 10 fixture, overwhelming the visitors. Cortulua’s lone reply came in the 57th minute when substitute Mirna Olaya scored for Industriales, assisted by defender Esperanza Prado. The goal briefly cut into Junior’s lead.

The match was contentious, featuring six yellow cards. Industriales received five, including one to Olaya’s provider, Prado, in second-half stoppage time.

The result improved Junior W to 1-2 in the Colombian league, while Cortulua fell to 0-1. The final score exceeded a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw.
