BIELES, Luxembourg (Interstat) — The Belval Belvaux opened its domestic season with a 2-0 victory over Sandweiler in a Luxembourg First Division match on Friday.

Playing at Stade FC The Belval, the hosts took control early. Filip Ozobiç opened the scoring in the 11th minute, followed by a goal from Jorge Silva in the 19th minute. Sandweiler failed to answer, managing no goals.

The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had predicted a 1-0 win for Sandweiler. However, the organization’s ELO rating system had given Belval Belvaux a 75.9% probability to win. With the Week 24 victory, Belval Belvaux begins its league campaign 1-0, while Sandweiler starts 0-1.
