DOMAGNANO, San Marino (Interstat) — Alessandro Ventre scored twice to lead Wolfsberger AC U16 to a 6-5 victory over Red Bull Akademie U16 in a Jugendliga U16 match Saturday at Stadio di Domagnano.

The visitors finished Week 26 of Austria’s youth competition with a perfect 4-0 record, while the hosts fell to 4-5. The result defied a pre-game statistical projection that heavily favored Red Bull.

Ilia Ivanschitz scored two early goals for Red Bull, and Marco Brandt, Maximilian Pagitsch and substitute Nikolas Freund also scored. Ventre’s goals, including a 90th-minute winner, secured the win. Wolfsberger received three yellow cards.
