Germany, Peru Draw in Six-Goal Friendly Thriller

MAINZ, Germany (Interstat) — Germany and Peru played to a 3-3 draw in an international friendly at MEWA ARENA on Tuesday.

Niclas Füllkrug scored twice in the first half for Germany, finding the net in the 12th and 33rd minutes with assists from Kai Havertz and Marius Wolf. Peru, however, mounted a dramatic second-half comeback, scoring three unanswered goals to secure the draw.

The match, organized by the Friendlies of Friendlies in World, saw Peru’s Wilder Cartagena and Germany’s David Raum receive yellow cards. The result left Germany with one win and one draw in this competition, while Peru earned its first draw against one loss. The outcome defied pregame projections that heavily favored a German victory.
