TEISTUNGEN, Germany (Interstat) — Chemie Leipzig earned a 3-1 victory over SC Freital in a club friendly on Tuesday at Kunstrasen Am Klosterholz.

Danny Whitehall opened the scoring for the hosts in the 57th minute. Jack Morris doubled Leipzig’s lead seven minutes later. Carlton Ubaezuonu added a third goal in the 80th minute before SC Freital’s Jean Belehoua netted a consolation goal in the 89th.

The result exceeded statistical projections, which heavily favored Leipzig but predicted a lower-scoring affair. Chemie Leipzig begins its friendly schedule with a win, while SC Freital starts with a loss.
