Al Nasr vs Kalba

UAE: Arabian Gulf League

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Interstat) — Al Nasr will look to build on a two-match winning streak when it hosts Kalba on Thursday, May 14, at Al Maktoum Stadium in Week 21 of the Arabian Gulf League.

Al Nasr (8-5-7) enters the match after a 1-0 victory over Al Dhafra on April 18, its second consecutive clean-sheet win following a 2-0 result against the same opponent on April 11. The back-to-back shutouts snapped a three-match losing skid that included defeats to Ajman (2-0 on March 21) and Al Ain (2-1 on Feb. 11). Overall, Al Nasr has posted four wins in its last six outings but has been inconsistent at home, with three victories, two losses and a draw at Al Maktoum Stadium this season.

Kalba (3-6-11) is mired in a five-match winless run, most recently falling 2-1 at home to Al Wahda on March 22. The result was Kalba’s fourth loss in its last five matches, with the lone bright spot a 1-1 draw against Al Ain on Aug. 30. Kalba has managed just one win in its last 10 fixtures and has been particularly vulnerable away from home, where it has lost six of eight league contests this season.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Al Nasr holds a clear edge, projecting a 2-1 final score. The ELO-based system gives the home side a 72.5 percent probability of victory, reflecting Kalba’s offensive struggles — the visitors have scored only 12 goals in 20 matches, second-fewest in the league.

Al Nasr’s attack has been more productive, led by a balanced scoring threat that has produced 28 goals. The defense, however, has been porous at times, allowing 31 goals, though recent clean sheets suggest improvement.

Thursday’s match marks the second meeting between the sides this season. In the reverse fixture, Al Nasr defeated Kalba 3-1 on Dec. 13, 2025.

Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. local time.
