Vora and Dinamo City share spoils in four-goal draw

VORA, Albania (Interstat) — Vora and visiting Dinamo City played to a 2-2 draw Monday in a league match at Stadiumi Vora, with the home side equalizing in stoppage time after the visitors had taken a second-half lead. The match produced four goals, two for each side, and a flurry of late cards as the teams split the points.

Vora opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Bryan Gyjla found the net. The early goal gave the home side a 1-0 advantage and set a quick pace at Stadiumi Vora. Dinamo City responded in the 21st minute through Malomo Ayodeji, whose goal leveled the match at 1-1. Ayodeji was among the game’s key performers, finishing with a goal while playing the entire match. The teams went into the break level at 1-1.

The teams remained level through halftime. Dinamo City made two changes at the interval, bringing on Meta S. and Lorran. Vora waited until the 60th minute to make its first substitution, introducing Kashari K., and added another change in the 67th minute when Halabaku K. came on. The match remained 1-1 until the 75th minute, when Florenc Farruku scored for Dinamo City to put the visitors ahead. Farruku was replaced in the 76th minute, shortly after his goal. Vora then made two more changes in the 79th minute, with Bryan Gyjla and Pedro Clemente coming off.

Dinamo City’s Aliji N. was booked in the 68th minute. Vora collected yellow cards in the 89th, 90th and 90+4th minutes, with Vrapi J. and Dario Daka among those cautioned. Dinamo City made another change in the 86th minute when Qefalija K. entered. The late cards came as the match tightened in its final stages. The bookings added to the tense finish as Vora searched for an equalizer.

Trailing 2-1, Vora pushed for an equalizer and found it in the third minute of stoppage time when Dario Daka scored to make it 2-2. Daka was booked in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The late goal capped a back-and-forth finish and denied Dinamo City a road win. Gyjla finished with a goal for Vora before being substituted, while Farruku scored for Dinamo City before his exit. Ayodeji’s full-match goal and Daka’s late strike were among the most influential plays of the game. The visitors had taken the lead through Farruku’s 75th-minute finish, but they could not hold it. The goal was Daka’s first of the match, and it came after Vora had spent much of the second half chasing the game. Dinamo City had defended its lead after Farruku’s goal but was unable to keep Vora out in the closing minutes. The home side’s pressure finally paid off in stoppage time.

The result left Dinamo City with a competition record of 1-2-2 and an overall record of 2-2-2. Vora is now 2-1-2 in the competition and 3-1-2 across all competitions. Dinamo City entered the match after a 1-1 draw at KF Tirana and a 2-1 home win over Egnatia. Vora had beaten KF Vllaznia Shkoder 2-1 at home and lost 1-0 at Laci in its previous two competition matches. Both teams have played five competition matches this season, and neither side was able to protect a lead in the final minutes Monday.
