RIGA (Interstat) — RFS beat Grobina 3-0 Sunday at home, led by goals from Darko Lemajic, Dmitrijs Zelenkovs and Stefan Panic. Lemajic opened the scoring in the 27th minute, Zelenkovs added a goal in the 73rd and Panic also scored for RFS. Alfa Balde recorded an assist after entering as a 64th-minute substitute. Grobina’s Dodo and Druzinins received yellow cards in the 20th and 21st minutes, while Krautmanis and Baydal were booked in the 75th and 80th minutes. Grobina made early substitutions, bringing on Ribeiro in the 17th minute and Baravykas in the 59th, then Yamada in the 71st. RFS substituted Zelenkovs and Lemajic in the 77th and used Saidy and Odisharia in the 87th. RFS improved to 5-0 in the competition and overall, while Grobina fell to 1-3 in both. RFS controlled play after a tight opening and preserved its clean sheet through the second half. Grobina could not find a response.
