GODAVARI, Nepal (Interstat) — Nongkseh overcame an early setback and defeated home side Godavari 3-1 on Friday, using three unanswered goals to secure the comeback. Godavari opened the scoring in the 14th minute, but Nongkseh responded in the 19th to level the match before halftime. The visiting side then took charge after the break, scoring in the 74th minute and again in the 77th to complete the turnaround. Nongkseh and Godavari each now hold 3-1 records in the competition and across all competitions this season. Nongkseh’s victory follows its recent results against Lakecity, Chhaygaon and Kuppuraj, while Godavari had built momentum with wins over Chhaygaon, Kuppuraj and Lakecity. Nongkseh’s pressure increased as the second half wore on, and the game remained competitive deep into the second half, but Nongkseh’s late attacking push proved decisive as Godavari could not find a response after conceding twice in quick succession during the closing stages.
