Fortaleza took the lead in the 52nd minute when Jordan Garcia scored, shortly after he was booked in the 33rd. Jhon Palacios assisted Yeison Guzman’s equalizer in the 55th, then Palacios scored the winner in the 63rd. Palacios finished with one goal and one assist in 76 minutes, while Guzman played all 90 minutes and scored once. Garcia’s 58-minute outing included the goal and a yellow card, and Jhon Murillo provided one assist in 44 minutes. Garcia came off in the 58th, and Palacios was replaced in the 76th. Fortaleza moved to 0-2-2 in the competition and 0-3-2 across all competitions. America de Cali improved to 2-1-1 in the competition and 3-1-1 overall. Fortaleza had entered after a 1-1 draw with Dep. Cali; America de Cali had beaten Cucuta 3-1.
