PRETORIA (Interstat) — Tshwane University W defeated Ezemvelo W 3-0 on Saturday, using goals from Nombuso Malesa, Ester Ndou and Andiswa Jele to secure the home result. Malesa opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, Ndou doubled the lead early in the second half and Jele extended the advantage midway through the half before Tshwane closed out the clean sheet. The result moved Tshwane University W to 2-0 in the competition and 2-0 across all competitions, while Ezemvelo W dropped to 0-2-1 in the competition and 0-2-1 across all competitions. Tshwane controlled play after the opening goal and protected its advantage through the final whistle, while Ezemvelo could not find a breakthrough. The win marked Tshwane’s second victory of the season across all competitions and kept Ezemvelo without a win. Tshwane previously beat Ramatlaohle W, and Ezemvelo had lost to University of Fort Hare W and drawn with JVW FC W earlier this season.
